Welcome to Beach Mobility Rentals, LLC!

We are a beach wheelchair and mobility scooter rental company located on the East Coast of Florida. Although we have a very broad footprint on Google, we are unable to service your rental needs outside of our current operating area, which is primarily between Jacksonville FL and Vero Beach FL, focused on the sand and streets of Daytona Beach.

About Beach Mobility Rentals

Founded in 2015 by Greg McNair, Beach Mobility serves to fill a growing niche of people who still want full access to the sand. The “Baby Boomer” generation originally developed coastal properties around the country. As these wonderful people grow older, many require more assistance to get onto the very thing they helped build: beachfront homes, hotels, and resorts. As well, there are several people in recent years who have suffered lifelong injuries or illnesses, and many who are temporarily in need of our assistance devices. We are happy to serve each and every one of you!

Our Fleet of Accessible Rentals

The company has grown from a single powered “Nomad” beach wheelchair to a fleet of over 25 vehicles for both sand and street use, and continues to expand.

From the Sand to the Street

What began as an opportunity to turn “Disabilities Into Abilities” and assist people with getting onto the sand, the service quickly grew into helping those same clients get around on pavement. Daytona Beach is well known for its “World's Most Famous Beach.”

As such, it became a popular destination for conventions, cheer and dance competitions, entertainment events, and of course, the famous races and motorcycle events synonymous with Daytona. Our clients wanted both beach and pavement experiences, so we answered the call adding powered mobility scooters to our fleet. The most trusted and popular name in mobility is Pride, and we utilize the GoGo Elite Traveler series to help people get around on the street. With a few more large scooters for heavier people, we can meet the needs of just about everyone!

We Rent Experiences

During the decade + of providing for others, it became evident that our service went well beyond renting beach and street mobility vehicles. We were renting beach experiences. You can place an online order in just about any industry, including this one, but are you aware of why you have choices? Every person’s needs are different, and as such, we tailor your beach or street trip to be a fantastic experience for everyone involved. If we set proper expectations and deliver more, then we know we are serving you properly. One size doesn’t fit all, and a quick conversation with us will help you make a proper choice. For most in the assisted and special needs aspect of life, comfort and experience outweigh pricing. Sure, we can rent cheaper equipment and charge accordingly, but you would get what you paid for: garbage.

FAQs

  • All rentals have a delivery fee starting at $45

  • We are located in Florida, and while there may be other sites showing our information, we regret to inform we no longer have offices in cities located outside of Daytona and Ormond Beach, on the heels of the pandemic. While we do rent outside of our normal operating area, the delivery fee is based on your location. If you wish to inquire, please feel free to call or email us!

  • We do not rent standard wheelchairs, knee scooters, or crutches

  • We deliver to you. We don't offer local pickup unless you’re traveling to beaches we do not service within FL.

  • We do not rent by the hour. There is a 1-day minimum

  • If you want hourly use, please contact the Volusia County Beaches to inquire about free beach wheelchair use at their assigned locations, as we are not staffed or geographically positioned to offer hourly use

  • If you are traveling in from the parks in Orlando, or live nearby and want to rent for a partial day use, we rent only at Andy Romano Park in Ormond by appointment. Please know there is very little chance we can accommodate you "on the day of need" if you haven’t reserved prior, as we have delivery and pickup schedules that must come first.

  • We do not have a location on the beach with toes in the sand

Mobility in Daytona and Beyond

We utilize the Pride Mobility Gogo Traveler series of scooters to satisfy people attending events at the world-famous Daytona International Speedway, including NASCAR races, the ROLEX 24, Welcome To Rockville, the Turkey Rod Run, Jeep Beach, and so much more. The scooters are used throughout hotels, resorts, around town, for trips to the Ocean Center in Daytona, around Historic St. Augustine, to attend sporting events, school functions, and more at Embry Riddle, Bethune Cookman, and more. We also offer a few larger scooters for heavier occupants, but these scooters are far too heavy for transport, so they are relegated to on-site use only.
